Every election is essentially a management contract—we’re hiring leaders to oversee billions in public resources and infrastructure that directly impacts our daily lives.
Yet most of us spend more time researching a new laptop than vetting the people who’ll manage our community’s future.

Three questions I ask before casting my vote:
1. 🩺 The Local Impact Test National headlines are loud, but local leaders control the decisions that actually affect your commute, your kids’ schools, and your neighborhood safety. Which candidates have a track record of solving district-specific problems?
2. ⚖️ The Transparency Standard Can you easily find their voting record, financial disclosures, and policy positions? If a candidate makes it hard to verify their claims, that’s your red flag.
3. 📍 The Track Record Check Campaign promises are marketing. Legislative records are receipts. What have they actually delivered for constituents?
If no candidate meets these standards? Your vote still counts—it signals to parties that voters are demanding better options.
What’s your non-negotiable criterion when evaluating candidates? I’m curious how others approach this.
